Manatee County Search and Rescue’s Project Lifesaver is an innovative and rapidly growing program aiding the victims and families suffering from Alzheimer’s and related disorders including Down syndrome and autism spectrum disorders. Project Lifesaver utilizes wristband transmitters to locate wandering and lost adults and children, greatly reducing the length of time needed for search and recovery of missing individuals.
