Tropical Storm Debby

We are following the path of Tropical Storm Debby closely and have strong emergency preparedness plans in place. We’re set to support and protect communities in all affected states.

As always, we will continue to update both the status of the storm as well as the status of our affected communities and residents. Please check back here regularly as well as on each community’s Facebook page for updates.

 

8/8/2024 – 6:30 p.m. update:
Power is back up and running at TerraBella Northridge.

 

8/8/2024 – 5:40 p.m. update:
We have received word that power has just gone out at both buildings. There are generators on site and the team at TerraBella Northridge is prepared. We will continue to monitor the situation and update as needed.

 

8/8/2024 – 9:45 a.m. update:
Currently, our communities are all faring well from Tropical Storm Debby. We continue to keep a vigilant eye on the storm as well as any tornadoes that may be produced as a result of the storm. As always, keeping our residents and Team Members safe remains our highest priority.

All of our communities in Tropical Storm Debby’s path are weathering the storm well and continuing to shelter in place. 8/6/24 – 2 p.m. update – TerraBella Myrtle Beach:
With no mandatory evacuations currently in place in our zone or history of needed evacuations in past storms, TerraBella Myrtle Beach is set to shelter in place with a full supply of food and water.

If an evacuation becomes necessary, we will pivot to evacuate all 40 first-floor residents to higher ground in Myrtle Beach. All families have been informed of the current plan and we will continue our open lines of communication. Keeping our residents safe and their families informed remains our top priority. We’re happy to report our Florida communities have fared well as Tropical Storm Debby moves out of the state. We are continuing to monitor the storm’s path as it approaches Georgia and the Carolinas and have strong emergency preparedness plans in place for all of our communities in Debby’s potential path.
